2. With what famous person, whose name begins with the letter in question #1, would you most like to be stuck on a desert island? Well that would have to be Dane Cook! Not only is he hysterically funny, but very, very easy on the eyes..AKA a Hottie!

3. What food item, whose name begins with the letter in question #1, can always be found in your pantry? Hmm the only thing that comes to mind is Dark brown sugar. I use it a lot when cooking.

4. What song, whose title begins with the letter in question #1, always makes you feel good? Don’t Happen Twice by Kenny Chesney

5. What is your least-favorite film whose title begins with the letter in question #1? It would have to be last years movie Doubt. I watched this last weekend and was not impressed. The trailer was better, than the movie.

6. What unusual animal, whose name begins with the letter in question #1, would be a fun pet? Dinosaur. The herbivore type, my boys would love that.

This week’s 5 is inspired by the party game Scattergories, in which players have to come up with items, all beginning with the same letter, in several categories. For example, if the die is rolled and shows the letter R, players might have to come up with a soft drink, a farm animal, a river, and a U.S. President, all beginning with R. Valid answers might be root beer, rooster, Rhine, and Roosevelt.

First, go to this nifty online random-letter generator. Set the “number of random letter sequences to generate” to 1. Set the “length of each random letter sequence” to 1. Leave the “letters to choose from” how it is and click the button. You’ll get a rather non-dramatic one letter. Use that letter to begin all your answers to the 5 questions below.

Alternately, if you find that boring, you could set the “length of each random letter sequence” to 5, thereby giving you five letters, a different one for each question.

I was going to take the kids to the beach for the fireworks, but quickly decided against it because of the heavy traffic that was headed that way. Instead we stayed local and went to a near by town to watch them.

I tried my hand at taking fireworks pictures, they are ehhh, ok I guess. I need to read up more on how to get the perfect shot of them.

This last shot is pretty cool looking, this is what it looks like when you zoom in to much and move ever so slightly..LOL!

1.Where can you go for a really good bagel, and how do you like yours? Before I became a SAHM I used to work for an online company and the HR lady would bring in fresh bagels from this place in town. They were fresh baked every day! She would bring me an Everything Bagel with cream cheese. Oh, I can remember the smell of it right now. Yummmm!

2.What is your favorite style of doughnut? Has to be the traditional glazed ones. So moist and gooey!

3.What’s your favorite flavor of Lifesavers? It has been so long since I have had them, but it would hands down be the orange and lime.

4.What O-shaped breakfast cereals do you like? I don’t have a favorite, but if I had to choose it would be Honey Nut Cheerios.

5.How do you feel about onion rings, and where can you get some good ones? Love Onion Rings! I have not had them at many places, but Burger King has some really good ones. Although, even though these aren’t technically Onion Rings, my favorite fried onion would have to be the blooming Onion from Outback!

Very early this morning at 12:46am Susan turned 18 years old! I can remember everything about that day. As a mother I guess we never forget the births of all our children, but to me the first is always still forefront in my memory.

So very small, but very loud when you were born. It is sometimes hard to explain how I felt the moment they put you in my arms. It was pure bliss, contentment, joy and the most love the anyone could possibly feel all tied up in a cute little pink wrinkly face.

You grew up to fast on me! Not so long ago you were just learning how to walk and now you can’t wait to run out there and conquer the world. I wish you would slow down and enjoy this time, but I remember being 18 too and I understand.

Happy Birthday baby Girl, I love you!

The kids and I are eagerly awaiting time to leave to see the fireworks display in a near by town. Susan is not able to go this year, because she is working and since she is working Dale can not join us either. Someone has to pick her up. Sitting here I remember some of the first fireworks we have seen as a family. Here are some pictures of 4 of July’s past.

1. How do you feel about fireworks displays? I love them, last year we didn’t get to see them, this year I hoping the families schedule works out so we can attend. But it isn’t looking hopeful so far.
2. What were the details surrounding one of your mishaps with fire? My Van’s alternator caught on fire last year. That was scary, good thing Dale was home, because I am not sure how I would have handled that by my self.
3. Who in your life could be described as a real firecracker? I would have to say my son Adam. He is 4 and good lord he goes off like a rocket every time he doesn’t get his way. His nick name is Adam Bear
4. When did you last feel you were being put on display? The only times that I can remember is when I was giving birth to my children. Now that is a display..lol. My high school reunion is coming up in September and I am sure I will feel that way then as well.
5. How confident are you in your barbecue skills? I am not! I have never BBQ’d anything on an outside grill. Give me an electric inside grill and I am confident enough to grill some hamburgers, chicken and steak.
