About a month ago Elias had his Spring pictures done at school. Now this is how they get you. They tell you when it is but you don’t have to pay right now. They send the photos home with your child and if you like them you can send in the money. How sneaky are they??? I mean really what parent is not going to buy the pictures. Especially when they are as cute as this!

Prom Pictures
Susan had such a great night at Prom, even though it felt like 120 degrees outside that day. The dress she choose was perfect for such a hot day! Although, that dress left a trail of glitter where ever she went. By the time she left, my bedroom floor and bathroom sink was covered in shimmering silver glitter. I had to even try and get some pieces off of her face and out of her hair..lol.
Susan’s boyfriend is 6′8″ so even with those incredibly high heels she wore, he still towered over her. They were so cute together! Look how happy she is!
Her best friend Courtney and her boyfriend Cody met them at the house so they could go together! Everyone was so pretty! I had to do a lot of coaxing to get them to let me take photos of them They knew they were not getting out of this house without that! And don’t you just love how he forgot to tuck his shirt in!
Susan did come back to the house to change before running out the door again to an after party, where she stayed the night with another one of her girlfriends. She said the Prom rocked and they even served dinner there. She said she came out of her shoes not to long after the Prom started and danced to almost every song. I did notice the next day, she had 2 odd shoes..ROFL. Seems the Brian, when getting ready to leave, picked up one of Susan’s shoes and one of Courtney’s shoes. What would have been funnier is if she wore them home, but she didn’t she was carrying them.
I am so glad she went and had such a wonderful time. These memories will be with her forever! I was and am a proud Momma!!

You’ve come a long way baby!
I wasn’t really sure that I would blog about this today. Because frankly I didn’t want to remember and commemorate this day as an anniversary. Those of you who know us personally, were with us through it and let us lean on you and those who have been reading my blog for a while know all about the trials and tribulations that we all went through last year with Susan. A mother worst fear realized, 5 terrifying days. So instead of retelling and reliving the past in this blog post, I want to celebrate how far she has come in one year.
I really wasn’t sure what the future was going to hold for her, but look at her know! A Senior that just went to her Prom, a soon to be high school graduate, some College prospects, aspirations and goals. She is so happy, we are so happy. She has over come so much this past year and has become a much better and amazing young woman. Her father and I are very proud of her and see nothing but the best to come for her. So I rejoice and celebrate my daughter!
I love you baby girl! I knew you could do it!

Work in Progress
Still working on just the right look for my blog. I am going to design my own theme for the background, but that will take me a while. With Dale’s help I am sure it will be great. I have to give it to him he is a graphic designing genius! Until then I have been looking around for a nice theme, because honestly this one is a little boring. Hopefully by the end of tonight or tomorrow I will have something with a little more pizzazz!
I have sucessfully installed some great plugins that are working great. I must say it was a little intimidating at first, but so far so good. There are a couple more that I want to install and play around with.
I am learning so much that I never knew or even understood about web sites. Dale is loving teaching me all the in’s, out’s, how and why’s of all things code, graphics and templates. Not that I understand all that he tells me, but I love to hear him talk and he’s easy on the eyes too

Holy Hannah it’s HOT!
I re-checked the calendar and yup it’s still April. I was just wondering because it is hotter than you know where outside! 90 to be exact and the next couple of days will be the same way.
We refused to turn the AC on because well frankly it is still April and who knows it may just snow again, hey it’s happened before
We were comfortable most of the day, had all the ceiling fans running, I didn’t cook, it was light fair eat what you want night. By the way my boys love that! They can have anything they want. Noah opted for a nice big turkey sandwich, Elias, peanut butter fluff (of course) and Adam, chicken nuggets. Of course then 2 sweets of their choice. I’ve been told I am cool Mom a time or 2..hahaha!
The boys were outside at 10am by 12 it was time to put swimming trunks on and get wet with the hose. The pool won’t be up for another 2 or 3 weeks. Still to early for that, but I have to say if it continues being this hot, I may rethink this. The boys played outside and hard all day. I had to go out a couple of times to reapply sun block, thank god I put all the summer stuff in one place last year. Smart thinking on my part. Although, getting the summer clothes out of the closet was a daunting task…ugh. I am so not looking forward to that. That process takes me all day.
Each of my boys has at least 2 big boxes a piece and I know some of their stuff won’t fit anymore. So I will have to sort and restore. Sound like fun times, doesn’t it. LOL!
After they had been in for a while, I checked on them and all 3 of them were in Noah’s room playing Trouble! It was so adorable, Elias and Noah were helping Adam count his spaces and then when the game was over, they all play Sorry together. Those boys just warm my heart! I just went in there and checked on them one last time and they are all sleeping so hard. Sweet, peaceful sleep! One of the reason why I LOVE summer all that playing makes them sleep so good!
Susan’s prom was tonight and I will post pictures and details about that tomorrow or Monday. I want to get all the juicy details of Prom before I do. She did slip back in tonight to grab some clothes and head out again. She looked so happy and very pretty tonight! I am so proud of her!

Lover Avenged
Is Book 7 in the BDB Series that I have been addicted to. Thanks Erin! The next book comes out April 28th, it’s a hard back will be a little more expensive than the paper back. But I just got finished telling Erin, I have to have it because or I will die ROFL! The paper back version does not come out untill November. Seriously, November are you kidding me?? So I guess I will have to have one odd book in my collection. I mean that’s ok, I only have one signed copy and I don’t think the other copies are jealous
Erin also forwarded me a Thursday 13 done by the Blog Alpha Heroes, here she shared her 13 favorite funny bits from the books. My favorite book is Lover Eternal and her number 3 is also one of my favorites.
3. (Lover Eternal, after Mary gets a glimpse of Rhage’s curse. Not laugh-out-loud hilarious, but the kind of smile that warms you up and makes you really really love the characters)
“Mary, I don’t want you to fear me.”
For a moment, she watched his mouth and jaw work the stem.
“I’m not afraid. V and Phury might have been in a little trouble, but you wouldn’t have hurt me. No way. I’m not sure how I know that. I just do.”
He took a deep breath. “God, I love you. I really, really love you.”
And then he smiled.
She laughed in a loud crack that brought every head in the room around.
The cherry stem was tied neatly around one of his fangs.
Not sure if I can hold the excitement until the 28th, when the book is released. I hope my preorder doesn’t take more than 5 or so days to get here. I am sad, yeah I know, but I am not alone..teehee! I snagged the counter I have over on the right side from another fan!

Ready for Prom
Susan and I were so lucky when we went shopping for her Prom stuff, we only had to go to one store. Deb’s had everything we needed. She tried on a couple of dresses and settled on this one.
We had to make sure it was within the rules set by the school’s fashion police (as Maria says )
It falls right below the knee and her boobs aren’t hanging out
But it does leave little sparkles of glitter every where she goes. I am sure her date is going to love having to clean that out of his car.
She also got a great pair of high heels, now when I say high, they are high! I am afraid she is going to twist and ankle or fall flat on her face. But I am crossing my fingers. The most darling part of the shoes is the little silver heart that hangs from the buckle! So Cute!
They have not decided whether they are going for the grand march or not, Prom Starts at 6pm. They also have not decided if they are going to dinner or if they are going to any after Prom parties. She doesn’t have a set time to be home, because well it’s Prom and I am sure there will be plenty of things happening afterwards. All I know is I am glad she decided to go. I didn’t go to mine I opted to hang out with friends instead. I should have gone, hindsight and all. But I can live vicariously through her. I believe I am more excited about it than she is..lol!

A Happy Birthday and A Happy Anniversary!
Please forgive me for not posting this yesterday. I was having some technical problems earlier in the day.
Happy 8th Anniversary to my Mom! I hope you are having a wonderful time on your little get away I read about on your blog. I hope Jerry spoils you! Here is to many more years together!
Happy Birthday to my Step Mom-Audrey! I hope Dad spoiled you rotten and you had an awesome relaxing day! A special thank you for all my goodies you gave me on Saturday!
I love you both very much!

I have been sucked in
Erin, told me about this a while back and I just refused to get caught up in another “thing”. But the last thing Erin got me hooked on was JR Wards, Black Dagger Brotherhood. And that was a GOOD thing! Her and I had a discussion and the verdict was, listen and do what Erin says! Bwahahahaha!
So I am in the Twitterverse with all my friends and we have a good time. I mean really where else can you Tweet with Ashton Kutcher, Oprah, Ellen, Demi and Dane Cook, Larry King and many more and it really be them? Or how else could you follow one of your good friends (Angie) as they are traveling and really experience it with them in real time?
If you want to follow me (and I will follow you) just email me. I can’t promise you that I will have the most interesting Tweets everyday, but at least we can have some thought provoking fun!

Happy Anniversary Dale part 2
Eight years ago we took our lunch hour and went to the city park, walked, talked, laughed and had our first kiss. I said to you I didn’t want to be a problem, since at that time you had so much going on in your life, you said to late
Happy Anniversary Baby, I love more each year. Thank you for everything you have given me in these 8 years! The most important is your love and our 4 children!

Happy Anniversary Dale part 1
Eight years ago today we planned our first date and it rained so bad that day we had to cancel. Every year on the 18th you remember to tell me Happy Anniversary Part 1 of 2 and you are always the first to one to do it.
Today in the middle of trying on Prom dresses I see a text you had sent me earlier that said exactly that. You can always bring a smile to my face in the midst of chaos. This is one of the many, many, many reasons why I love you so much!

It’s getting closer
To Susan’s graduation! A note to my family members, I have not mailed out the announcements as of yet, so no worries, I didn’t forget you
I think the school has a great set up for graduation. If it doesn’t rain you do not need a ticket to come, but students do need to know how many people will be coming (per the school). If it does rain then you will need a ticket, at this point we do not know how many tickets each student will receive. I am hoping it will be at least 6 or more. If it isn’t I guess I should prepare myself for the aftermath of this. I guess this blog post should come with a disclaimer…I only got X amount of tickets and there is only X amount of room in the school, so I can’t give one to everybody. I just pray that it does not rain, because I want this day to be perfect for our daughter. It is her day and I want it to go smoothly and it be a very happy day.
Prom is April 25th and she has a date and her tickets ($90-holy cow), but has not settled on a dress yet. So there will be shopping this weekend. I am hoping this will be easy, we shall see. We received this paper on appropriate dress attire for the Prom. Most of what is listed should be common sense, but I guess some students are not blessed with that.
- Strapless gowns are allowed
- Bare midriff that have cutouts covered by illusion fabrics must be approved (bring picture to the office)
- Necklines are to be no deeper than 6″ from the collar bone (necklines can not fall low the natural breast line
- Backless gowns must be 6″ from the bottom of the spine
- Slits must not be higher than 6″ above the knee
- Dresses must be knee length or longer (no minis even if it has a train
- NO see through fabrics of any type unless there is a solid fabric lining
- Dressy pant suits are allowed following the same criteria as above.
AND this one is my favorite and made me LOL when I read it.
9. Appropriate undergarments must be worn
(If we know what’s under there it’s not proper underwear)
That is sad that, that statement has to be made, but I am sure there had to be some incidents where their business was out for all to see!
So with that, I will have to bring this list with me, just to make sure we follow the rules bwahahahaha!
A couple of weeks ago she received her class ring in the mail. It is small but very cute. Of course she is in love with it and is under strict instructions not to let anyone wear it. Today we took Adam to the local playground and she was talking and she can’t do it without using her hands. I immediately saw she didn’t have her ring on and I freaked…lol. She was like calm down Mom it’s home on my dresser. Of course I checked when we got home and yes it was on her dresser. I still have mine (because I was warned by my parents not to let anyone where it) and I also have my fathers. I just hope that she keeps it and treasures it like I did mine.
Here are a few photos of her new ring, it’s so cute!
On this side is her name and orchestra intruments, she has played the violin since the 4th grade.
This side is her graduation year and a Volley Ball, she played for this school for 2 years.
I have to make sure I remember stamps, I keep forgetting. If I forget again those announcements will never get out..LOL!

Some pictures
We had a small party for Elias and Adam for their birthday. We had a great time! Elias was so happy because he got 2 new great Bionicles to add to his collection and Adam got his first Big Wheel. The cake was decorated by the boys and it had about 2 inches of icing on it. But hey isn’t that the best part. I am no cake decorator what so ever..LOL! I was holding the boys hand while they wrote their names, but what is so funny, as we were writing Adam’s name I spelled it ADAD! Bwahahahaha! I was talking and working on it at the same time. But I fixed it and you can never tell there was a D where the M is. Shameful..haha!

What a beautiful day!
We spent most of our day outside, messing with the flowers and just having some fun. For the boys birthday we got them a trampoline and this thing is huge. Probably as big as the pool…our backyard will soon look like a amusement park if we don’t quit with all the fun toys. But you are only young once right
The kids were bugging me so bad to put it up, I mean we have had it since last Sunday..lol. I called Noah outside and figure it couldn’t be to hard to put together. Yeah, who was I kidding!
Noah you hold that side, no don’t let go, stand still, you can’t hold that with your foot, use 2 hands, no wait I am not ready…wait….BAM! The 2 sides I put fell back down ROFL! Finally after a lot of pulling, rearranging, turning we got the the big cirle and the legs up! Now for the fun part, the springs.
Elias hook them here, no not on your pants, the hole put them in the holes, not 3 at a time 1 at a time, Adam bring those back, do NOT put them in you hair, Elias stop shooting your brother with the springs, they are not guns, Noah pull this one, hold it, wait….don’t let go…one more sec this is the last one….wait, wait I almost got it…let go let go, damn my finger! Ok that’s it! We got it (insert the happy dance)!
Can we jump, no, I have to put the spring cover on, can we jump while you do that? No! Get down, stop jumping, if I get my finger caught again heads are going to roll!
Finally after what seemed like 5 forevers, its up, let’s hope it is safe…because they have jumped all night, well until it got dark.
I don’t have pictures, because frankly I was to tired to walk upstairs to get the camera. I also have photos from their birthday and the Easte Egg hunt we had yesterday. They will be up soon too….*yawn* seriously soon!

Letting go
I have come to the conclusion that my children are getting older and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Stupid time marching on! In July my daughter will be 18..oh the horror! Just recently I let her stay in Rehoboth with a couple of her friends for a weekend. And today, she left me this morning to go to PA for 5 days with some more of her friends. I probably should have my head examined..lol. She has done a 180 since last April and has turned into a responsible young woman. I am very proud of all the things she has done to show us trust, responsibility and that she has some common sense. I still of course worry and will continue to worry. As she was leaving this morning, I saw how excited she was to be going on this little trip and that gave me a huge happy feeling. It these small steps of freedom that will get her and I prepared for when she leaves for college in the Fall. I know she will be just fine. I already miss her and hope she has the time of her life!
