I’m thrilled

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 2:59 pm

FedEx just dropped off Susan’s senior portraits. They are beautiful. They should be for the small fortune I paid for them. She looks so grown up in them. As soon as I figure out where to hang the pictures I will make sure to post a picture.

Reality is starting to set in, she is about to graduate from High School in 3 months! It just seems so fast. Soon it will be her last day of school.

RedBox Movies

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 10:46 am

Last night when leaving Wal Mart after getting Elias’ antibiotic, he approached the big RedBox sitting outside in the lobby. I have never tried it before and he really wanted the Sonic movie they had displayed on the billboard.

I always had been very leery of it and never tried it. But who can resist those eyes. I have to say I can’t for the life of me figure out why I never tried it before. Easy peasy, lemon squeasy!

*Choose your movie at $1.00 for any movie

*Swipe your card

*Type in your zip code

*And zip. Out comes your movie from the side of the machine

You can keep them one night or it is a $1.00 each additional night. I took them back this morning.

*Touched the Return DVD screen, inserted the movie

*And it sucked it right back in

*Then preceded to get 2 more LOL!

How awesome is that! I can see this will be a regular thing at our house. Not to mention Wal Mart is less than a 10 min drive. YAY!

It’s the little things that excite us here :)

Everyone’s sick

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 9:40 am

But Susan and myself. Poor Elias and Adam have colds, but Elias’ is a little worse. Fever for 3 days, horrible cough and congestion. So in about an hour we are off to the Dr.

Dale is getting it too, I don’t think I have ever heard someone sneeze so many times consecutively in my life.  I really hope and pray that I don’t get it. As mothers we don’t have time to be sick.

We stayed in on Valentine’s Day and watched Michelle’s boys for her, so she could have a nice quiet evening with her hubby! The boys had a great time. Here are some photos from our night.

I’m a Auntie again

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 11:42 am

I got this message from my sister Suzanne this weekend. The email was actually from Jake her dog ;)
OMG….I have a sister!!!  My family brought her home today and she is smaller than I am. Her name is Leeba, which means “love” in German.  The rescued her from a Weimaraner Rescue in VA.  She likes to play, but she gets mad at me when I try to act like a man!  As you can see from the pics, she is definitely cute!

Leeba is such a doll, I can’t wait to get over there and meet her.  My boys will just thrilled when they see her!

Unexspected Expense

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 9:50 pm

Not to long ago my washer conked out on me and was very, very, blessed to receive a new one, with out financial worry and no strings attached. Today, while I was at my Grandfathers house the dryer died too. I had known it was coming because it just wasn’t drying the clothes in a timely manner. It was taking over and hour for one regular sized load. UGH! Talk about a day of laundry, literally all day to dry some clothes.

When I came home today, I had a new dryer. Dale went to Lowes and bought me a new one. It was all set u p and working great. We were able to put our extra tax money aside and not spend it frivolously like many people I know. So when our dryer went up we were able to go and get it, with out any worry.

With the economy the way it is, we decided that we had to put some money away. Because we didn’t want to be in the same position when our washer went up.

Thank God for lessons learned.

Which brings me to some other thoughts & lessons I have learned over the past couple week.

Never expect some one to do what you think they should do or what they know they should do. *Lesson Learned*

Always be true to yourself, never doubt your feelings. *Lesson Learned*

Never fall into drama, if you have been down in drama before and it’s always the same results, don’t fall for it again. *Lesson Learned*

Be true and trust the people in your life, who are in fact in your life. *Lesson Learned*

The only thing that I need to take care of is my home, my children and my significant other.*Lesson Learned*

You can not change people. *Lesson Learned*

Listen and hold on to the advice of your elders, they know what they are talking about. *Lesson Learned*

I do not have to worry about other people and what they think all the time. *Lesson Learned*

If it hurts you, makes you feel bad or cause you to second guess yourself, don’t read it, don’t put yourself in the line of fire. *Lesson Learned*

The people I surround myself with is a reflection on me. *Lesson Learned*

If you try and try to change a situation and get knocked down and keep getting dumped on and disappointed. It is time to leave it alone, move on, because it is what it is and it isn’t going to change. *Lesson Learned*

All in all…

No Regrets, Just Lessons Learned!!

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

My Word is

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 7:21 pm

Your Word is “Love”

You see life as possibility to form deep connections with a few people.

Relationships are the center of your world, and you always take time to bond with those you love.

You are caring and giving. You enjoy helping those you love.

And when it comes to romantic love, you feel passionately … even in a very long term relationship.

What’s Your Word?

Happenings around here lately

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 11:22 am

Not much really! LOL! Just getting Adam through his cold. It wasn’t to bad, just during the night with a stuffy nose causes me have to get up and get him back to sleep.

I finished updating my Project 365 Blog with some great photos. Noah first black eye, yeah thats attractive. Boys, I swear!

I also have been scrapping my butt off this week. Kelly and I have been running the ASDR 4 Race and we are done. With the exception of maybe a bonus challenge 13.

Here are a coupe of my favorites of what I have been doing as far as scrapping goes. You can click them to make them larger to see detail.

Dale went to Elias’ school this morning to have Donuts with Dad. I can’t wait unil he gets back and tells me how it went.

Elias is gearing up for the Pine Wood Derby in March and we are excited to be starting our Fence Project for the house this weekend. I hope it isn’t to cold. I don’t want to be outside freezing clearing the yard!

I’m a cool Mom

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 12:31 am

Or so my son says ;) Elias had a haircut today and bless his heart he really wants a real mowhawk. I won’t let him, because it is just to darn cold, to be going around with a practically bald head. I told him this summer I would let him do it. To brighten his day, I let him get red tips. This washing out in a couple days. He is just to adorable for words.

Although, this makes me wonder if I have this in my future.
