Mac-alicious

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 12:08 pm

I have gone to the dark side as Dale says..LOL He got me a MAC last week and I am off and running. Scared to death because this is so foreign to me. So far I am loving it. I am having some difficulties with my email client that I am using, but that is what tutorials are for ;) This machine is so much faster than my PC and the whole look of my desktop is very nice.

I am also loving some new software too. The Adobe Gods are so happy that I have upgraded :) I have waited a long time for Photoshop CS2 (I wanted CS3) but I am NOT complaining.

Tonight he will transfer all my other stuff from the old PC to my Mac and I can scrap and design. WOOT WOOT! I can’t wait.

Love this bag!

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 8:59 am

I read this blog every day and today she directed me (and her readers) to a friend of hers who is giving away a really super cute monogramed bag as a launch for their new website. I love the bag she has pictured on her blog. So if you want a chance to win one go on over and leave a comment. Good Luck!

Our Furr Babies

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 8:18 am

Here are the 3 Savannahs that we kept. Aren’t they so beautiful? They are wonderful friends and Amun (the kitten in the middle) keeps the other two on their gaurd at all times. He just loves to play. I just couldn’t ask for better pets. I know that the other 2 cats we had are havinga great time in their new homes, we miss them a lot though.

Vaction Bible School

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 10:03 pm

What an exciting week my kids have had. We joined VBS at a local church and I can’t tell you how much fun it has been for me and the kids. Nothing warms my heart more than watching children praise God, especially in song. I have really needed this, this week. I believe that God has been speaking to me this week as well. I have felt more love and Christian unity this week than I have in a long time. I will be sad when it is over, but I know we will be back for regular Sunday services. Yesterday I took a video of the children singing their worship song right before VBS starts. You can’t really see my boys, but they are there signing their little hearts out. Tell me if this doesn’t give you goosebumps and just makes you want to reach out and praise God too! Sing along :)

Leo went to live with Laura last night. She is so excited to have him with her and another kitten she has. She is expecting her first baby in September and her husband is currently deployed overseas. Leo will be a great companion for her while her husband is gone. We will miss you Leo. *MUAH*

God’s Promise

After a big storm the other day and while waiting for Susan to get off work, the sky started to clear and the biggest most beautiful double rainbow appeared. It was the brightest one I have seen in a long time. I didn’t have my camera with me, so by the time I got home it had faded some, it was still amazing to see. Here is the picture I took of the rainbow in my front yard.

KJV-Genesis 9:11, 13
9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

killens Pond

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 5:48 pm

June 11th we took a trip to Killen Pond with my good friends Michelle & Brian. What a wonderful waterpark they have. The kids really had such a great time. It was big enough for everyone to have their own space, but small enough where they could run around and I could watch them. I am pleasantly surprised about the snack bar prices as well. They were affordable! The floor of the pool was concrete, so if you were not careful you scrapped up your toes and knees. Poor Elias got the worst of it. At least 3 fingers on each hand were rubbed raw, including both his knees and a lot of the bottoms of his toes. He is a tough guy, because he is asking almost everyday when can we go back!

Gone cat crazy

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 5:35 pm

We have lost our minds and have fell in love with the Savannah breed of cat. We had the most amzing opportunity to get 3 more Savannah’s. The special thing about these 3 are that they are related to Laylah. So that makes 5…yes you read that right 5 cats in my house. We are a little overwhelmed and we are working hard t find homes for 2 of them. Because as much as we love all of them, my home and my sanity can not take all 5, plus 4 kids. Also Leo and Laylah still are not getting along very well, so we may be giving him away soon, to another forever home. He gets along with the others fine, but Laylah just hates him.

Let me introduce to you the new members of our household…well for now ;)

Kindergarten Graduate!

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 10:47 pm

It was a long school year but we finally made it to the end. We really were worried about Elias and if he was ready to go on to the 1st grade. But during the last 2 months he did awesome! I am so proud of him and all the hard work he did to overcome his anxiety and shyness about school.

I went to his Kindergarten graduation, everyone got a certificate and they each class sang a song. Here is a short video of him and his class singing their song. Well of the class, he said he was to shy to sing ;)

I am a proud Momma!

He is recieving his certificate from his Principal Mrs. Jones

And his teacher Mrs. Moore, I can’t say enough good things about her. She just loved him and he felt the same about her. He dedication in helping Elias achieve all his goals, goes over and beyond any teacher I have ever encountered in my 12 years of dealing with schools. I really hope his 1st grade teacher is the same way with him.

Royal Rangers

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 9:48 pm

I am so proud of Elias. He is a member of the Royal Rangers at Salem Methodist Church. He went for 12 weeks and June 5th he earned his first badges! Royal Rangers is similar to Boy Scouts, but with Jesus as the focus. He can’t wait for July when it starts up again. Look at him, he was so proud of himself!

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — Trish @ 9:32 pm

June 1st was my niece Kimberley’s 11th birthday. I can not believe she is 11 already. I remember watching her being born. Time does fly and she is a beautiful young lady. We went to her birthday party at her Nana’s house.

Get this blog caught up :)
We spent Memorial Day at my fathers house for a BBQ and pool time. Of course the water was way to cold, but the kids didnt seem to mind one bit. My sisters and I said we were not getting in there until at least mid June, when it warms up. The kids lips were blue and they were shivering but we just could not keep them out.

Adam isn’t to interested in getting in the pool, so he stayed safely on the deck, shooting his cousins and siblings with a water gun.

Also the kids got a real kick out of Pop-Pops boat. He fired up the motor and they all got on for their pretend fishing trip. Elias is already talking about being the captain.

It was a wonderful day! I can’t wait for many more this summer!

Happy Fathers Day!

What Makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,

He called it … Dad

Dad here are some of my favorite pictures of you, us and the grandkids!

Dad you always take the time to give words of wisdom, you make sure all your grandchildren have fun when they come visit, you always make sure all 7 of your children know just how much we are loved. I thank you Daddy for everything that you have given me and taught me in my 37 years. I love you more than words can ever express!
