I had my niece and nephew with us this weekend and most of the time when there are 2 extra people in the house I usuall can’t really tell a difference. Today was an exception. It seemed like everyone wanted something different at the same time. At one point I put all the kids in line and asked them one at a time what they wanted, I got whatever it was, sent them on their way and proceeded with the next one. Adam being the bully cut in front of everyone causing chaos in the simplest of tasks. Makes me wonder if he will ever be line leader in school ![]()
It is 9pm now and Adam is in bed but the other 5 are still outside playing in the back yard under lights. Riding bikes and playing ball. See this is one of the reasons I love summer. Outside play for 3+ months. I have to admit I really love to hear the laughing, arguing, shriekes and screams from all of them. Makes me smile every time. I guess I am getting old because I am tired and can’t wait for them to go to bed, because I wont be far behind them!

Amazing love
When I clean for my granfather while the floor is drying I go on a photo hunt. I have a nice collection of old family photos. Sunday I came across this one and I was in awe. They look so in love and happy. And my grandmother was a little hottie
They were married for over 50 years and I can say with my whole heart that he looked at her like that everyday. Even now that she has been gone for almost 3 years, he still looks at her pictures with the love & the longing in his eyes as he did in that picture. I am so lucky to have this photo.

Spikes
Ok how cute is this? I took this picture this morning, because Adam insisted on having spikes like Elias. So all I could get was this little mohawk to stand up. He loved and All Day he didn’t want it messed up. It fell down later on an he wanted it back, so I think I may have to take him back to the hair place and have them cut the sides in shorter so it will look right.
I just can’t get over how big he has gotten. It was just yesterday he was born..right? Now if I could only get him to tell me when he has to pee, that would be real progress. He is more worried about his hair than the wet pants he had on 10 mins later I took this picture.
I was trying to get them in a picture together and when one would look the other one wouldn’t. But I did get a cute blackmail shot for Elias when he gets a girlfriend later in life. See anything interesting about this picture?
Oh he is going to hate me for this one, ROFL!
Spring for Erin
Erin this is for you. And I only have the one side of the house, because Dale’s car is not photogentic..blech. I got part of his car in the one picture, pay no mind to that!
As you can see the storm tore through my grandmothers Iris’
I do wish I had some of you West VA grass, it is so green!

I know it isn’t
Menopause, but sheesh…I have to blame my mood swings on something. Today was just a blah day. I woke up that way. No energy to speak of, so much to do. Very crabby and irritable. Tomorrow better be a better day or I think my family may want to trade me in.

Thinking about things
My week has been kind of crappy and hey it’s only Tuesday. Mothers Day was just another day for me, one of our cars broke down for the 13,000th time, so Dale spent Mothers Day fixing the car. Which BTW still doesn’t run right. So he is using my van and will work on the car this weekend. So that means I have to sit in the house the rest of the week. BLECH!
Sunday we were hit with a major storm which left our house with out electric for 14 1/2 hours! Monday with no electric and a storm still ripping up my flowers was such a wonderful experience (insert sarcasism here). I lost all my refridgerator food such as milk, ham, cheese, eggs and mayo. Things like that. The freezer foods were fine. I think Adam was in and out of the fridge to many times on Monday. So today I had to take Dale to work, come home, take the kids to school, go grocery shopping, get kids from school, take Susan to work, go pick up Noah, pick up Dale from work, come home fix dinner and go back out to pick up Susan from work. That much driving makes me tired.
Tomorrow I was supposed to chaperon Elias field trip, but I can’t because of the stupid car situation. So I am going to clean up my yard and try to save some of my flowers. Maybe even cut the grass, that is if I am feeling spunky ;)

Happy Mothers Day
God’s Masterpiece Is Mother
God took the fragrance of a flower…
The majesty of a tree…
The gentleness of morning dew…
The calm of a quiet sea…
The beauty of the twilight hour…
The soul of a starry night…
The laughter of a rippling brook…
The grace of a bird in flight…
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when his masterpiece was through
He called it simply - Mother.

Things are looking up
Susan had a job interview at Wawa yesterday and she is so happy because she got the job! WOOT WOOT! This is her first job ever. I am so glad to see her happy. She is excited because she is making $8.00 and hour and her new boss said she would get a raise with in a couple months. She called my mother as soon as she got home, because of course this constitutes shopping for work clothes
My poor mother, Susan has her wrapped around her finger. Although, my mom is a shopaholic, I think that is where Susan gets it.
I really think this is the boost she needed to get back on track, I am so proud of her.
