My Adam was Baby of the Month for the month of November on our Moms Group forum.

Tomorrow, I get to put up the new banner, I made it and chose who was to be picked next. I chose a baby who’s birthday was in December and did a holiday themed banner.Â
This little girl is so special and a sweetheart. I just love her. She always has something silly to say and can make me laugh. Erin chose Adam for last month so I think it only fair I choose her “Monkey Sue”, Avery Brooke. What a cutie!!

Once again I have to give credit the great picture taking lady, my great friend Melissa!! She is just so wonderful at this and will be also taking my kids pictures for Christmas! I can’t hardly wait!
Today was a playdate and Elias wanted to see Santa, of course I wasnt going to pay the $100 for a picture. Now that is exagerated but it might as well be a $100, the Mall charges outrageous prices for that. Melissa had her camera with her and snapped these for me. Elias was his usual shy self and Adam almost had a heart attack. But they turned out like they are supposed to.

This is part two of the All about me meme I did yesterday. Today I am supposed to write 10 things I  love about myself. For some reason this is a little harder than yesterday. Criticizing ourselves is so much easier than praise. Ok here we go:
- I love how I am with my kids
- I really love my hair and the color.
- I love how I can create a meal out of what is just in my cabinets.
- I love my personality
- I love how I can make friends.
- I love how I am empathetic to others needs.
- I love that I can be artistic.
- I can cook a mean crock pot dinner.
- I love that I am a Christian
- I love that I have a great relationship with my Dad after 25 yrs.
Same rules as yesterday, If you would like to do this meme consider yourself tagged
I was over at Tater and Tot (btw-I am so glad your back blogging, missed you ) and she did this meme on 10 things she hated about herself. Of course she passed the torch on to her readers
And she is right…”only 10? Are you serious?” *Giggle* Ok here I go:
- That at 35 I have adult acne! What is that about really?
- I really dont like my eyebrows. Cant really see them.
- Since I have been on this diet, I have the gushy loose skin on the belly.
- I can only do 25 crunches to help fix the belly…LOL!
- I am so easy going, to nice at times.
- That I am not reading more.
- That I am a constant worry wart. I worry constantly about everything.
- I take alot of things to personal, get upset to easily.
- I cant fry chicken.
- The position I am in right now in personal relationships.
Tomorrow I will follow up with the 10 things I love about myself. If you feel inclinded to do this MeMe, consider yourself tagged.
I have always love the Veggie Tales and when Elias was almost 2 he fell in love with them. Now the baby loves BOB & LARRY!
He will sit for 40 mins and watch Bob & Larry countdown the 10 silly songs of all time. You should see him dance!
It just seems like yesterday Elias was watching them, now of course he doesnt like them. “It’s for babies Mom!” Little does he know he is still my baby….shhh, dont tell him because he thinks he is grown up.
This song is so wonderful. I can listen to it over and over again. I did a page for my daughter and incorporated the lyric. If you have never hear it go here and read the lyrics while listening to the song. Very powerful!
Susan’s Page:

*Sigh & Yawn!* That is how I felt when I finally got home last nigt. Sighing because I was stuffed way beyond capacity and yawn because of the stupid tryptophan in the turkey that makes you sleepy. Not really Â
So I was asleep at 9, I think. I know it was early.
This year was so great! We had a wonderful time. So many faces I had not seen all year and some I see every week. I was thrilled that Pop-Pop came and him, Dale, me, Dad & my step mom sat together at the dinning room table. We talked for 2 hours. I really, really loved having Dale with me this year. He didnt have to work this time. Adam was a bear the whole day. He doesnt do well around a lot of people, so he was clingy and very moody. He was in my lap or in one of his Aunts laps most of the day/night.
I was unable to go to the sales today, I wanted to but Dale had to work and I cant take the baby out at 5 am. So there were a couple things I wanted, so I was still able to get them a family member went this morning and got everything I wanted. Now that was the sweetest thing and a life saver!!
Usually I put the Christmas tree up today, but I am not sure what to do. Will we be in the house before Christmas? Do I run the risk of putting the tree up and having to take it down? Then what if I dont put it up and we dont get in until after Christmas. I love, love, love and did I say Love? This time of year. It is my favorite. I dont have room right now for the big tree. I do have a 4ft tree I can put up temporarily. Hmmmmm, maybe that is the way to go. It wont be to much trouble taking it down. Well, see this is why blogging is good, because in the midst of typing my dilema, I have figured it out

Journaling Reads:
God saw they were their happiest and
someone would not let that be.
So He put his arms around her and whispered
“Come with Me”.
With tear filled eyes we watched her,
suffer and fade away. Although we
loved her deeply, We could not
make Mom-Mom stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

There is only 2 days left until Thanksgiving. I love the holidays, so warm and cozy! I have to get to the store tomorrow to pick up a couple things. I have this wonderful pumpkin crunch I want to make. Thanks to my friend Nicole for sharing her recipe. I am sure it will be a hit!
I even bought a turkey breast to cook next week in the crockpot. I will have my own little Thanksgiving here again. The spread for Thanksgiving is all comfort foods and who doesnt love that!?
I am real excited because today I picked up a layaway that I had for my kids today. The boys got brand new bikes and Adam got a TMX Elmo. There were some other toys in there too, but those were the big ones for them.
I will be getting Susan’s next week. She wants and acustic guitar. I found one and she will love it because it is pink. Then of course some clothes.
I am just relieved, I am almost done and there is no stress. Each year I stress about money and what to get. But I started real early and it has helped, tremendously.

My son Elias is 4 and he is the sweetest loving boy in the house. I love to cuddle with him, but that isnt why I am writing about him today. He is sick with a nasty cold. Poor thing is sniffling, sneezing and coughing. He doesnt have a fever so I am not all that worried.
The thing with him is he hates clothes. Weird child I know. As soon as he gets into the house, off come his shoes and socks. No big deal, I do the same. Then with in a 1/2 hour off come his pants and then eventually he walks out with no shirt. He loves to be in his boxers. He says he is hot.
So today is a chilly day 49 by my computer and we just got home from seeing the house. He is playing his game and so far he has managed to get his shoes, socks, pullover and shirt off. I am chilly and he has a cold. So he should be cold or chilly too…right? I just keep scratching my head about it. He is just weird, I guess
I went to the grocery store this morning, very early. I hate crowds on Fridays and with the holidays it is worse. The kids were great, they are so well behaved in the store, thank God for that. While walking around in the store I was hearing the associates who work there talking about the wacko people who were sleeping out in tents last night to get the new Playstation!
The people were there some 12+ hours before the game unit was put on the shelves. Then while getting nuggets from the inside MickeyD’s the manager was telling me how some one was shot and robbed in their tent. WHAT!
First off what is this whole thing about having to have new game systems?! Look I know the games are fun and my kids love them too, but whatever happened to going outside or playing with the umpteen toys that are in your room. Or wait how about coloring or doing puzzles? Then I thought, these were probably grown men and woman waiting out there not for their children but themselves. That is even more irritating! The radio was saying that people were buying these game sytems and then reselling them on Ebay for amounts exceeding $3000. If you look on Ebay (which I did) they are indeed selling for that and more.
Our conversation then turned to TMX Elmo. It was the best selling toy of the holiday season. The girls at the McDonald’s were saying that when that came out people were lined up. I spoke up and said I have one and the only reason I have one is because I came around the corner a month ago and there were a shelf of them. It was pure accident that I was able to have it. I would have never stood in line or slept over night for a stuffed, talking Elmo.
This goes into what I was saying the other day about what happened to Thanksgiving? What has happen to Christmas? The materials things that we have to have. The money that is spent, for what? To say I have a Playstation 3 or a TMX Elmo? Where is Christ? Isnt that what Christmas represents? It makes me so angry and sad. I sincerely hope that I am going to be able to teach my kids the Christmas isnt about “what did you get me” but that it is a time of joy and time of birth. It is a spiritual time, even if you arent a Christian and your reading this, you have to admit the spirit of Christmas has turned into a toy or electronic gadget ad.
I love my clothes line. I have done some major begging for one at the new house. Looks like I am going to get my wish =)
I adore hanging clothes outside, the visual, the homey feeling it gives, not to mention the smell of clothes that have been flapping in the wind all day. Yesterday we had strong winds and I believe we had a tornado watch, so I sat here at the computer and watched my clothes blowing in the breeze! I love laundry, I know I am a wierd one, but I do I love it. Washing, drying, folding putting away. My kids have caught me smelling the clothes while I fold, I think they think I am odd. OH well
I dont want anyone else to do the laundry because I am afraid they will mess it up. I mean really how can you mess it up, but I am a little OCD about it.
If you have a clothes line outside that you have not used in a while, I highly recomend hanging some laundry out there. It is refreshing!
I went to my playgroups brunch today and oh the yum-o food!! I cant even begin to tell you how good everything was. Everyone always makes a fuss about my friends sticky buns. So good and so easy! She was kind enough to give us  the recipe, so I thought I would share! Please try them, so delcious!
1 package of Rich’s frozen rolls (or what ever frozen dinner rolls you can find)
1 package of Cook-n-Serve Pudding (Vanilla or Butterscotch)
3/4 - 1 stick of butter
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup nuts
Spray a bunt pan with cooking spray. Spread rolls evenly in the pan. Melt butter and pour over frozen rolls. Mix dry ingredients together and poor over the frozen rolls. Cover with towel. Let rise over night.
In the morning, place the bunt pan on a cookie sheet (spillage) an place in a pre heated oven. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Turn pan upside down over a serving plate.
I was wondering the other day, while watching TV, why the Christmas commercials were on already? I was in Wal-Mart yesterday and they have the store all decked out for Christmas. The trees are up, the lights are twinkling and those big obnoxious blow up decorations are everywhere.
November is a time of thanks. Thanksgiving is next week and I dont see anything around to make me feel that this is a holiday. Well, except for the Food Network. I love that Chanel!! Have we forgotten about it as a nation? I know I have not. I have started some Christmas shopping, but as far as I am concerned this month is a time of family, food and thanks. We rush around so much during the year, isnt this a time of relaxation and reflection? Are you so busy preparing for Christmas that you have forgotten what is important? Let me list some of the things that I am so thankful for.
*That I know the lord and I am saved!!!
*My children, who make everyday interesting
*The love of my life, Dale you are everything to me.
*My family without them I would not have a home nor would I have a new home.
*The air I breathe
*The little bit of money I have in my wallet
I could go on an on, but I wonder if anyone lately has taken the time to think about what they are thankful for. This year, I will be with my other sister and my Dad, I am thankful for having this opportunity to share this holiday with them. This is my first and I am sure it will be very nice. I will miss my other family, things have torn us apart, but please know that I have been and continue to think of you today on on that day. I am sure the house will be busting at the seams with children and men watching football. While the woman are in the kitchen. A Rockwell painting, dont you think? I love this time of year, I just wish more people took the time to celebrate it more. And not so quick to rush into the next one.

These are my sons favorite things. His beloved blankie and his paci’s. Lately he hasnt gone anywhere without them. And today he added a pooh to the collection. He is sweet with them though. He wraps the blankie around his head and walks around. He has even started to cover his eyes, well at least until he ran into the book shelf. Bad mommy for laughing. I just could not help myself.

Since discovering how to make blinkies in photoshop, I have been making them by the bucket fulls..LOL! The scrapbook forum I belong to, I have had many requests. They say they like that and proudly display them in their siggy’s.
But in any case, I am having loads of fun! Need a blinkie ask me I will get one for you!
My last baby-Adam is 19 months now.
